Having problems with your 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee ?

Mopar remote start issue. It was installed by the dealer and worked fine for a while but now It will try to start, (radio comes on, seat moves forward, etc,) and i can hear clicking noise from under the hood, but it never actually tries to start the car, and just beeps twice. I don't think it is a hood switch issue because if i open the hood to engage the switch and try to start, it come back immediatly with 2 beeps. With hood closed i can hear clicking noise and it takes a few seconds befor

Answers :

Many of these remote start units are defective or the install was done with the wrong type of connectors and a poor connection is the problem, suggest the best thing to do is have the dealer who installed it take a look at their work.
The clicking sound you are hearing is the relay to start the car. I would check for power on both sides of the relay. You should have 12 volts to both sides of the relay to send power to the starter. The relay is clicking but not closing and sending power to the starter.
