Having problems with your 2005 Mazda RX-8 ?

I have a 2004 mazda rx-8 6 speed manual transmission...i am having a real hard time shifting into gears...sometime it won't even bulge into gear, and that's when i have to use excessive forces just to put it into gear..after that initial force into gear, it's also hard to put back into neutral...it feels like its locked...and when i am on the freeway, shifting into gear at high speed causes some grinding action below the vehicle...i have asked my friend and he said it could be the transmission f

Answers :

Shift cable could be out adjustment.check shift forks unit for loosen bolts or broken missing parts.
You need to check the clutch hydraulics i.e. the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder for their function, even if its cable operated try to adjust it so as it opens the clutch fork a little more to allow the clutch plate to be free,thus easy selection of gears.
\015\012If this fails thn you will have to replace the pro-kit i.e. clutch plate, pressure plate and release bearing.
