Having problems with your 2005 Nissan Altima ?

I hear a high pitch sound in the engine compartment that starts when I start the car. With the car still in park, the noise does increase when I step on the accelerator. While driving the noise is in sync with the RPM of the engine. My serpentine belt is new, but I haven't changed anything else under the hood. Any ideas? Thanks

Answers :

Sounds like you need to replace the idler pully and maybe the tens. pully. and that will solve your sounds problem. whats happening is the bearings are bad and thats what you hear
