Having problems with your 2005 Nissan Maxima ?

After driving for a long while, when i slow down i hear a horrible noise on the front end. it sound like rubbing and squeeling. my mechanic found blue gunk on the brake pads and said he put on new pads and rotors. it is still happening. when i let the call roll on the road, and the speed drops below 30 mph, at about 27 mph i start hearing the rubbing noise and it gets very, very loud when i lightly touch the brakes.

Answers :

The blue gunk, might be grease from a torn axle boot, or a bad wheel bearing. Of course it's hard to know without looking, but I would be concerned of what the "blue" stuff was and where did it come from. If your mechanic replaced the pads and rotors, aside from a caliper problem, everything should be good. Have it looked at to see if anything is on them again.
