Having problems with your 2005 Nissan Sentra ?

Same squeak What's weird is that unlike most other peoples squeak mine stops when i accelerate. belts look a little dry and pulley a little rusty. Will WD-40 work or do i need to replace the belts or pulley.

Answers :

Belt is probably just loose. Loosen the bolt right under the idler pulley (hard to see from the top of the car), then adjust the tension tighter. This fixed my problem which was the same as yours, squeaks at idle, especially if the AC is on, but as the RPM's rose it went away.
