Having problems with your 2005 Nissan Xterra ?

The plastic pigtails for both headlights keep over heating and melting to the point that the connection is lost and the headlight don't work. The latest ones to go bad were high temp/high watt pigtails and factory bulbs. The fuse never blows. What could be the problem?

You may be using aftermarket bulbs that draw too much current, or both high beam and low beam filaments are on at the same time.
