Having problems with your 2005 Peugeot 405 ?

Car revs high under acceleration from low level

\015 Peugeot 307 2ltr HDi 136 was not in the product list but that is what I have.\015\012\015\012Car revs under acceleration from low level particularly in higher gears or for overtaking, It then drops, catches and accelerates. \015\012It's inconsistant but typical movement is around 1500rpm up to 3500rpm and back down again.\015\012It's almost like the clutch is slipping if that helps describe it. \015\012I took it to a dealer sometime ago and they replaced the turbo under warrenty, TWICE. \015\012As I have the same issue again I can't believe it's that part..\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 22-04-2019

Answers :

It is very possible to be the part especially if they have the same manufacturer for that particular part. Since alot of parts are farmed out now days and assembled elsewhere and then put in the car somewhere else. It is very possible. If it is still under warranty, let them change it again. All the while, get the customer service advocate involved from the manufacturer to aid in the repair of the vehicle. Just because they have a bum part/s doesn't mean there isn't more they can do to have a more permanent fix.
