Having problems with your 2005 Pontiac Grand Am ?

05 grand am 3.4 v6- car starts hard sometimes and then it will idle up and down from 500-1500 rpms and stall again. If I hold the pedal half way down and start it then slowly let it go back to idle it

\015 Also the codes read 0300- multiple cylinder misfires, fuel pressure has been fine. I haven't checked coil packs yet. It would help if it would just break down completely.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-02-2019

Answers :

Check a vacuum leak in either one of hoses coming off the intake manifold or it could be the intake manifold gaskets leaking somwhere.
Weak battery could be an issue

That seems to be everyones problem here this week

I wouldn't want it to quit completely,I would prefer some
data & it at least trying to run vs: a panic situation & be lost

The 300 code is random misfire so you really need to get it
on the street & up to 55 for about 25 miles & hot

Then the coils may act up
Don't OHM them that won't tell you a thing

You either walk a new coil pack to diffent cylinders
or look at professional scan tool misfire counts on a road test

Back probe TPS & check voltage key on/eng off

Don't throw parts at it ,test

Need a guage or scan tool if that data is avail for fuel
