Having problems with your 2005 Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible ?

Vw beetle running hot and we cannot find a leak

\015 We bought a 2005 VW Beetle Convertible 2 years ago and have been having constant problems with it overheating. Nobody can find a leak and it keeps running hot. We now have a new engine because the water pump melted to the engine one time when it overheated. The dealer kept replacing our water pumps (6 so far) every time we brought it in to be repaired. Also, the water tank is empty so it must be leaking . Filled it halfway yesterday and drove it 20 miles without any problems. Drove it about 6 miles this morning and the red light comes on. It is dry again! \012Can anyone help or make any suggestions? I have a mechanic that has been working on VW's for the past 20 years. He gets referrals from the local VW dealer. He thought he found the problem 2 weeks ago and replaced a hose but it took him two weeks to figure it out.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 17-09-2018
