Hi there:

Your vehicle is equipped with StabiliTrak, which combines antilock \012brake, traction and stability control systems and helps the driver \012maintain directional control of the vehicle in most driving conditions.
\012Traction control activates when the controller senses wheel spin. \012StabiliTrak will selectively apply the brakes and reduce engine torque \012to help regain traction.

Stability control activates when the controller senses a \012discrepancy between your intended path and the direction the vehicle is \012travelling. StabiliTrak selectively applies braking pressure at any one \012of the vehicle's brakes to help guide the vehicle in the direction which\012 you are steering.

When you first start your vehicle and begin to drive away, the \012system performs several diagnostic checks to insure there are no \012problems. You may hear or feel the system working. This is normal and \012does not mean there is a problem with your vehicle. If driving \012conditions delay system initialization, the STABILITRAK NOT READY \012message may be displayed. If this is the case, your vehicle does not \012need servicing.

When the StabiliTrak system is both on and actively controlling the\012 stability of the vehicle, the StabiliTrak light will blink for the \012duration of the event.

You may also feel or hear the system working. This is normal.
\012 StabiliTrak will turn off automatically if a problem is detected in\012 the system. The StabiliTrak light will come on and SERVICE STABILITRAK \012will be displayed on the DIC. For vehicles without a DIC, the \012StabiliTrak light and the StabiliTrak service light will both come on. \012If the SERVICE STABILITRAK message (or StabiliTrak service light) does \012not clear itself after restarting the vehicle, you should see your \012dealer for service.

Hope this helps.
The stabilittrak and service brake light would come on and stay on after 20 minutes of driving. I also realized the hatch wouldn't open when I used my door opener button or the button on the truck itself. We ended up just getting someone to look at the brakes. We needed to replace all 4 brakes pads, rotors, one calliper. The calliper was changed due to human error. These repairs fixed everything. Total parts were 900.00. I had my brakes changed before and I remember my hatch button didn't work then and asked them to fix it. Don't pay for that repair, I paid for them to fix this. The hatch problem fixes itself, once you change the brakes.
