Having problems with your 2006 Chevrolet Impala ?

2006 chev impala Cd player states "no playable files on disk" when I insert same disk that worked a few days earlier & disk works on home CD player. Then will automatically eject the disk. Played fine up until this happened has been 3 days now.

This actually happens on occasion in home audio for many of the same reasons it can happen in your vehicles.

Starting with the most common causes first; clean the disc. Regular Dawn dish soap rubbed on with a finger will do the trick. Rinse thoroughly with running tap water and dry with a cotton T-shirt or a lens cloth.
If you see any "fog" on the disc, wait until it dissipates before inserting into the player.
The player should be cleaned as well. Insert a laser lens cleaning utility disc and follow it's audio instructions.
Humidity can do the same thing to your discs that it will do your glasses; it can make condensation on your disc that obscures the laser light reflection from it. When inserting the disc into a player in a vehicle it is often much warmer inside the player due to the other dash mounted components and sunlight. That makes it more likely to cause disc read errors that have data on them of a file type that is spaced closer together on the disc, such as MP3. If the disc you are using has MP3 files on it, when you use more of those files in the future for your discs try making the recording settings to create a few seconds of space between songs or make a few less recordings on it, and don't format the disc.

There are a couple of other possible causes for your problem but they are unlikely to be the culprit since the problem consistently continues.
Sound like a reader cleaning problem; try to insert an clean cd and test again.
