Having problems with your 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser ?

Will not start

\015 I have a 2006 PT Cruiser with automatic trans. I had been running the\015\012vehicle all day and started it about 6 times with no problems. Then i\015\012stopped one more time before going home. I returned to the vehicle and\015\012turned the key. The vehicle started and before i could put it in gear\015\012it cut off. This happen three times. On the fourth try i turned the key\015\012and nothing happen. the engine did not turn at all. The light,\015\012horn,power windows etc. all work. I jumped the started with a\015\012screwdriver and the starter/engine turned but still would not try to\015\012start. It act like it had run out of gas but i had a full tank. All the\015\012fuses were checked and are good. I looked for a fuel shut off switch\015\012but could not locate one in the manual.\015\012 Is there a fuel cut off on this vehicle that i can reset. or do you have some other ideas\015\012 Thanks MO\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 23-04-2018

Answers :

YOUR IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM IS IN LOCKOUT MODE..IF YOU REMOVE IGNITION OFF DRAW FUSE FROM UNDERHOOD FUSEBLOCK,IOD FUSE FOR 10 SECONDS,IT SHOULD RESET THE IMMOBILIZER..IF IT DOES,THE FAULT LIES WITH THE IMMOBILIZER MODULE ITSELF..AS FAR AS I KNOW,THE DEALER IS THE ONLY ONE ABLE TO PROGRAM THE NEW ONE..THE CAR SHOULD START AND RUN AFTER DOING THIS WITH THE FUSE
