Having problems with your 2006 Hyundai Accent ?

My daughters hyundai accent 2000 model has no brake lights, fuses ok,bulbs all good, earth wires in rear end all look like new with no corrosion at all, I tried to change brake switch but auto shop gave wrong plug type but old brake switch appears fine as solenoid can be herd working on gear selector, i also diverted switch and again solenoid worked but still no brake lights, thanks,greg

Answers :

Take an ohm meter to the brake switch and all wiring to the brakes to determine the short. Looking and listening just doesn't do it
\015\012Ohm meters can be purchased for ten dollars and lesser amounts and come with instructions
\015\012It is a trouble shooter for cars and appliances at home
