Give the battery 15 min to recharge before you try to start the engine. The battery is to far gone and drawing to much from the others car charging system, so give it time and then try again. Your going to most likely going to need to repalce the battery, once you turn your car off. A battery that far gone will not hold a charge and will burn out your alternator, causing you more work and money to replace the alternator along with the battery.

Change the battery. If the old battery is completely dawn cannot be recharged, and makes a kind of short circuit and you cannot jump start with the battery of your friend's car. Change the battery.
