Having problems with your 2006 Lincoln Navigator ?
My 2006 Lincoln Navigator has a problem when it is in overdrive. If the rpms are low and I step on the gas the car jolts back and forth until the rpms increase. It kind of does the same thing in 4th if I punch the gas it kind of has a hesitation. I thought that it was the transmission but no check light have come on. My buddy who works for Land Rover said that it sounds like it could be the fuel pump.
Answers :
Your friend could be right. Normally if you have a cylinder miss or a problem with the transmission you would get a check engine light and a trouble code. Low fuel pressure may not show up like that.
You may want to check fuel pressure at idle and on the road.
