Having problems with your 2006 Maserati Quattroporte ?

I just bought a 2006 Quattroporte - it looks new except for the keys which are housed in a metal covering that is badly chipped and gives away the age of the car. Any recco's on repair or replacement?

Hi Ted,

\015\012Ahhhh....beautiful car. :-)

\015\012Is the coded key module actually housed within the metal casing?

\015\012If yes, then the 4-digit key programming required, would most likely eliminate the possibility of any 3rd party key suppliers being able to offer you anything suitable, unless they can get their hands on genuine Maserati blanks (incl. coding modules).

\015\012For a vehicle of such elegance, I would recommend you either contact Maserati to obrain a replacement one, or advertise nationally for a 2nd hand key unit in good condition, then have it reprogrammed by a dealership, to your vehicle's body computer.
