Having problems with your 2006 Mitsubishi Colt ?

The orange warning light in my mitsubishi colt is remaining on. the engine goes in defence, but if I switch it off and wait for some seconds it goes well again, though the light remains on for 24hours.

Your going to have to get the code and then get it diagnosed. You have over 200 code options that it can be. Also if your the one that just posted with a couple codes in the 1900's then those codes don't exist for your car. There is no E series code ,, and under all the other options the 1967 and the 1976 don't exist either. Your going to have to get the PCm read again.
Imperative !!!
\015\012The Engine Control Module (ECM) fault memory must be accessed and erased using diagnostic scantool equipment connected to the OBD II (16 pins) Data Link Connector (DLC).
\015\012In the first step you can also disconnect the battery from car terminals, waiting for 30 minutes and reconnect battery again (for car computers reset) if you don't have this diagnostic scantool equipment. But if this procedure doesn't work is absolute necessary to use a diagnostic scantool equipment !!!
