Having problems with your 2006 Peugeot 405 ?

I own a peugeot 207 and my info came on saying oil pressure is to low and the oil can and stop came on on the dashboard.Is it safe to drive to my garage about 5 miles away and what might be the problem. Thanks

Have you checked the oil since the light came on?
\015\012Make sure the engine is off and pop the hood. look on the right or left hand side for the dip stick. Pull it out and wipe it off and then reinsert it and pull it back out. Look to see where the oil level is on the dip stick. Fill accordinly. One notch on the stick is one quart of oil. If you refill the oil and start it up and the lights do not go off then it will be safe to drive it to the shop. Oil is in it. However, If there is loud tap tap tapping noise coming from the motor after the oil if full do not drive it. You have probably lost the oil pump and the engine is not getting oil. if you hear no noises and the oil light is still on you can drive it safely to the shop. Let me know how it turns out, Raz
