Having problems with your 2006 Pontiac G6 ?

I have a DTC P0118, what should i check. - 2006 Pontiac G6

Answers :

This code point to engine coolant voltage being tooo high. This can be causes by a coolant temp sensor being unplugged or a thermostat that is stuck open. The engine may not get up to temp or at idle it does but cruising the thermostats does not close enough to allow the engine to maintain a steady temperature.
\015\012I would replace the thermostat if everything checks out.
\015\012 A diagnostic scanner can tell if the temp is doing something which would piont to coolant issue over an electrical issue.
