Noise from top rack

Common problems with all top rack, you can do what you doing to keep the vibration down or remove the rack and place a little of rubber silicone or electrical tape wrapping twice tightly, using silicone do not use too much of it, stick enough of it on each end of the rack and it will keep the vibration down from making that noise. The rack get worse when you use it, you tend to strength everything out out of place. I just leave it the way you have it, rearly anyone look at the top of your vehicle.
THEN RUN THE RACKS AT REAR WHEN THERE IS NOTHING LOADED. THIS NOISE IS BUILT IN BY THE DESIGN, THERE IS NO "FIX"
