Having problems with your 2006 Volvo XC90 ?

2006 Volvo XC90 2.5T rough idle dies on take off temp gage not registering sputters but runs ok with higher speeds...

\015 Hi, v/Volvo, 2006 XC90 2.5 Turbo.\012\012First owner. Excellent vehicle with very few issues. That is why We are surprised that our vehicle is no idling rough and has been dying just after putting in drive. This has been the issue for about the past 3 months. We replaced the fuel filter in the beginning and it seem to address this issue. NOT. Within a week or so the issue was back (interment) and as of the last monthe more"mentent" than not! As of last Thursday, I noticed that my temp gage did not appear to be correct. I had just left my driveway and had traveled aprox. 2 miles and the gage was still not registering any temp at all. I only continued to drive to my location ~ 10 miles round trip, and it never showed any heat at all. The gage didn't move. I also had more trouble with its idle and it died on my twice and sputtered with the rough idle more the usual. \012\012We had it checked out and these are the codes that identify the problem(s) we are having. Can any one break these down for us and advise as to how we can proceed with repairing these issues on our own. We have always used our local Volvo dealer for any issues but, can not afford the enormous bill that usually accompanies repair. \012\012My spouse and his BF are mechanically inclined to do the work be need to have a better understanding of the work that needs to be done before the take on the issue. \012\012OBD readings\012\012a. P1509\012b. P0113\012c. P0118\012d. P1298\012e. And Now the Temp. Gage (not registering) reading UNKNOWN\012\012\012I very mush appreciate any information available.\012\012Thank you\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 25-03-2019
