Having problems with your 2007 Chevrolet HHR Special Edition ?

I have a 2006 chevy HHR with 17400 miles on it. It has a clicking noise in the front end when going over bumps. When lifting front of car, the axle feels loose on the transaxle side of shaft on both sides. Does this mean that the CV joints are bad?

Answers :

Nope, it seems as if your bearings in the top of the struts are gone, this will cause the same noise , also when you turn the steering wheel ,it will do the same.
Take it to you dealer it is under warranty and have it checked out. The noise could be cv joints.
