2006 Malibu Maxx Electric Power Steering
\015 I have read other posts where the writers had problems with their\015\012 power steering. It freaked me out the otherday when after starting\015\012 the car I proceeded to drive out the driveway when the electric power\015\012 steering went off. he message on the info board on the dash just said\015\012 problem with power steering. I was able to back up and park the\015\012 vehicle. Called Onstar and had them do a diagnostic and found no\015\012 problems. Left the car and being a weekend could not get any help.\015\012\015\012My husband jumps in on Monday morn (tuesday actually - long weekend)\015\012 starts up the car and drives it to the dealer with absolutely no\015\012 problems. I have read that it resets itself. Can this happen while\015\012 driving on the highway as I can see this a being potentially\015\012 dangerous? Should I be scared and worried? The dealer did nothing to\015\012 the car as basically there was nothing to do.\015\012I m\302\264 from Guadalajar Mexico I have a Malibu 2007 in 4 times aprox. My Malibu turn off the electric steering, and I feel panic, because the first time i was diriving in a road with curves. My dealer say this is normal but is not. I am a mechanic i think the problem is when the car have a small diference in voltage the steering electric turn off a few seconds but the electric steering only its most hard to move but you don\302\264t lost the steerig you can move. Only you need more muscles. I don\302\264t like this problem. I change the battery for other of more amperage. Since i change batery i don\302\264t have this problem maybe it\302\264s a coincidence. Alejandro Gomez. sorry about my english write.\015
