2007 mazda cx7

It will cost $8500 to fix it!!!!! I still owe $9500!!!! Hello??? Any advice???? I thought mazda was a good product????\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 13-08-2018

They're charging you for it? Since your car's only 2 years old, they should be covering it under warranty. Timing Chains don't break normally, and when they do, usually it's on a much older car. Mazda should be covering the costs for this under the power train warranty (which is good for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first)

Mazda is usually a good product but they all have their lemons.

\015\012What is the warranty? It may still be covered.

\015\012If you are going to fix it, do not go through the dealer. Find an independent shop and have them put in a good used motor. A good used motor with low miles will run $2500 - $3000 and $700 - $1200 to install it.

\015\012Avoid the dealer - they always quote jobs like this really high because they don't want to do them. Their hourly profit is 30% of what it is on simple jobs like brake replacement etc.
