How to install drive belt over the tensioner - 2007 Mazda MAZDA6

Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 18-06-2018

Answers :

The tensioner must be pulled back as to relieve the tension and allow the belt to be installed. Use the proper tool to accomplish this. It may be just a slot for a ratchet or it may require a metric wrench. Look closely at the tensioner and you will figure out how it is moved. If I remember correctly it takes an open end metric wrench that fits over the part just behind the bolt holding it in place. Look at the belt routing diagram under the hood to see exactly how the belt is routed.
