Having problems with your 2007 Scion tC Coupe ?

Why won't it start?

\015 Car won't start. No crank or turn over whatsoever. Just recently replaced clutch assembly and starter assembly. Problem is intermittent. Can roll start because manual.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 26-09-2022

Try this procedure:
\012Check the battery like this:
\012Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
\012If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
\012Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
\012If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection, and proper voltage at the starter.
\012Problem is most likely the Solenoid's bendix gear or starting relay, Have someone bang on the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging the bendix gear..
\012Hope this helps.
There should be a clutch safety switch that prevents you from cranking the engine with the clutch engaged.
Have you checked the switch for power ?
