Having problems with your 2007 Toyota Corolla ?

Loose belt As soon as I start my car (2007 Corolla) I hear a loud squeaking noise, probably a loose belt. How do I replace it?

Answers :

If it is the belt, you need to buy a special tool made to relieve the pressure from the belt tensioner, As you do that the belt will slip off. Don't let anybody tell you that you can use a ratchet and socket to loosen the tension. If your tensioner is not designed to work like that, it will strip the bolt out. While you have the belt off, turn all of the pulleys and make sure that they are not the cause of the squeaking sound. Make sure to memorize where your belt goes, a serpentine belt can be very confusing to put back on if you don't remember how it came off.
