Having problems with your 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan ?
The dash board is flashing, all the gauges go crazy, it turns the radio off, and sometimes gets bad enough to stall the car or make it so it wont start
- Sounds to me like your alternator is going bad quick. The battery is for starting the vehicle and the alternator keeps the vehicle running. When the alternator fails the battery no longer charges and since the alternator is not running properly the car begins to use the battery to keep it running. The flashing of dash lights and then the radio going out is the battery using up what it has left. Then there is nothing to keep the vehicle running and so it dies. Sometimes an alternator will intermittently work for a short time. But that will do nothing but get you stranded somewhere.
- I would have that alternator tested. If the battery keeps getting worn down from a failing alternator it too may need replaced. Have it tested too. It may be OK but check the battery too. I am thinking you need a new alternator for sure though.
