Is the radio new? aftermarket? was rewiring necessary to install it?
sounds like a short for sure but to determine where the short is coming from sometimes is difficult to diagnose. Based on the info in the question it is hard for me to give you a definitive answer but i will try and point you in the right direction.
if it is the original stock radio and if it did it work for you before i can only guess that it went bad and is what is tripping the fuse.
if it is an aftermarket radio already installed but hasn't worked I would pull it and check the wiring to make sure it was wired correctly or try a different radio as it may be fried.
If you wired a new radio in and it just started i would say the problem lies in your wiring. the same goes if you added a stock replacement radio that was used and just plugged it in. the new used radio could be bad.
the fuse system is there to prevent you from ruining whatever device is tied to it as a fail safe. there has to be a short in the wiring or the device itself is junk with shorts within.

tracing the power, ground and remote wire is the best way to find the short if you know that the device is good and/or that it was wired properly.

good luck
