Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

I have a 2001 chevy tracker. I have put $1400 worth of work in it in the last month. I am trying to get it inspected in new york state. They keep rejecting it because the evaporative system monitor keeps showing up. I had the valve changed in it yesterday the check engine light went out until I drove it about ten miles and it came back on. I have had the evap system checked on it and there is any leaks. I dont know what more to do. It is a great running truck it runs like new. I love it and dont

Answers :

No recall--[first recheck ur gas cap for proper seal] didnt say if or what codes computer is revealing the evap system drives people crazy because the problem can be as simple as a bad gas cap to an intermittent purge valve gone bad -urs maybe a line leak if it went back on in ten miles check the evap canister for cracks or damaged lines with all the salt and ice on the roads in ny during winter may have caused some damaged to it or its surround
