Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?
A/C Quit, is there a low freon limit switch that would stop it?
\015 I checked the compressor to see if it was "frozen" and its not. Checked for 24 volts at the contactor and there was none. traced the two wires back to the furnance for breaks and found none, opened the furnance and checked the transformer and got 24 volts, opened the thermostat and there was 24 volts to it, traced the 4 wire cable back to the furnance and found taps made in the four wire found 24 volts on some of the wires but when I traced a blue and brown wire to what looks like 2 relays there was24 volts to them but nothing coming out, the multi-tap relays look like it controls the heater, but there were wires coming off it the relay to a little black box that looks like a switch or relay that had wires going back to the taps for the thermostat. I didn't get 24 volts to that or from it. Does one of those control the freon? When I bypass those wire the compressor runs constantly and the thermostat has no effect on the operation of the unit. I was afraid I might do damage to the compressor so I put everything back to its original state. Can anyone help me out? I can't afford a repair man and its Hot down here.\015
