Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

92 lumina apv cranks but wont start

\015 1992 llUMINA apv VAN, 3.1 LITER, all new upper gaskets, all new ignition components including coil, icm, cap rotor wires and plugs. Ran great before the tear down to replace gaskets, now, all it does it crank but will not start. I am getting gas from the injectors, but absolutely no spark. The coil is getting 12 volts and the ICM is getting power, but I am getting nothing out of the coil to the distributor at all. What am i missing? I have replaced many of these gaskets sets before and never have had this problem. after I first put it back together, it gave me a very weak spark, checked the plugs, they were really bad, all new components, and still no spark. Someone help please, this is the only vehicle we have and I need to get to work. I have consulted several other mechanics, and they are as dumbfounded as I am at this point. Thanks for any and all help I can get. btw, I have checked and this has no crank sensor\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 15-07-2019

Answers :

As you know this is a fairly simple system.
The pickup coil in the dist signals the module and computer when to fire the plugs and injectors. If you are getting a pulse to the injectors you should be getting a pulse to the ICM.
Is it possible there is a break in the harness to the dist or the ICM ?
And is it possible the distributor is not turning or not in time ?
Can you make and break ground on the new coil to make it spark ?
You may have to go back over everything again and see if you missed something.
