Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

How do I clean the AIC on a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country?

\015 Automatic Idle Control. Needs cleaning, I think. Should be right in front of the driver's side dash in the engine compartment, but I don't know what to look for/unscrew/unbolt and what to clean! WD40 is probably OK for the cleaning solution?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 14-01-2019

Answers :

Buy a can of\012throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from\012NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air\012intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine\012will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for\01230 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down\012and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the\012base idle control
