1986 chevy celebrity 2,8 x carb engine; stalling and feels likes it loading up

\015 My celebrity has 188,000 miles. It runs great(I've kept it up real good) It started acting like it was loading up. It's bucking and stalling; and won't run well after 25mph; and going up a hill? forget it; it slows to a crawl.\012\012could it be a bad fuel pump( I had a new manual one put on 80,000 miles ago) or what could it be?\012\012It's paid for, had almost new tires and I want to keep it..what could be causing this? I really need to; so the wife can keep the Cavalier at home with her..\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 15-04-2019

Answers :

Look for a clogged fuel filter or sticking float in the carb. Sticking float needs a carb rebuild or replacement. Pull the fuel filter and try blowing air through it and see if you get any out the other side. If it has been more than 50,000 miles since you changed it last replace it anyway.
