Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

I had a water leak on my 1996 GMC K1500 and ran hot. Fixed problem truck running good, but the temperature gauge is pegged high even with a new sensor. How do I fix the gauge?

\015 The truck did run hot and the temperature gauge was working. Thought if I replaced sensor it would work. It seems like I pegged it high and it is stuck. I completed repairs and the truck is running great but I don't like not having a temperature gauge reading.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 16-09-2019

Answers :

Pull off the negative battery cable and unplug the sensor. See if the gauge needle returns to normal. Try tapping on the cluster to unstick the needle. No luck? Replace the temperature gauge.
