Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

Check engine light has come on 3 times in the last month or so.

\015 Had it checked at Ford. They said there is a small air leak, somewhere. Not big enough to fix ( also don't know where it is from) \012So, I guess I just live with that light on or go get it turned off every once in a while? Also have a capless fuel tank. Wondered about getting a cap for it?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 21-06-2021

Answers :

Really

An air leak

Well--- let me tell you,you wasted your time at that dealer

You sound like you have EVAP System issues

You can have no vacuum leaks
The evap monitor won't run & complete
it's test
You can't go thru inspection
Motor won't run right
Fuel Trim will be effected
Gas mileage will suffer

Shall I continue

Now you see why I have issues with all dealers, that is
keeping my feelings under control

We'll continue--pure nonsense & you got the dog & pony show

If they put an Evap Smoke Machine on the vehicle & used the scan tool to command the system solenoids on & off--you would have an
answer in 15 min. --yes 15 min with you standing under the vehicle
watching

Dealers total waste

You can not clear all data or dash light because it will come back
until evap monitor runs clean,so the dealer doesn't care, sells you the vehicle & forget it
