Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

If my passenger door is opened and shut while the car is off it sets off my security system and if I do not deactivate it in time it will disable my ignition. Why would the passenger door set it off? (1999 Ford Mustang)

Answers :

Most vehicles with passive alarms- unless you unlock with key fob go into security mode- the vehicle it cant tell the difference if u unlock with key or with a slim jim so it will activate security system thats why you have to insert key into ignition or use key fob to shut off or reset unit and the system is active on all doors {both or 4dr}
