How to replacee a water pump in a 97 dodge stratus

It's located on the passenger end of the engine, under the timing \012covers. You have to remove the timing belt to replace it. It's a \012knuckle-busting job; no room to work in there, and you've got to remove a\012 LOT of parts just to get to it. My '96 also had a corroded feed tube, \012so I ended up having to take apart just about the entire other end of \012the engine as well! If you can afford it, it's well worth leaving that \012job to a professional, especially if you haven't done a timing belt \012before.\012
\012BTW, if you do go ahead with it, here's a hint that I found the hard \012way. Take off the intake manifold first - it'll save you hours of trying\012 to remove the power steering bracket bolts! (That's not as frivolous as\012 it might sound - you have to remove the manifold just to change the \012spark plugs on that car!)
