Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

1989 Bentley Arnage Green Label flat service battery last week - replaced but draining that really quickly - any thoughts on fault ?

\015 I did read somewhere that batteries in the ECU can leak and cause problems - are there batteries in the ECU ??\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 16-07-2018

Answers :

All the ECUs only go into power saving sleep mode if the car is locked using the remote. If the key is used or the car is left unlocked the ECUs retain maximum current draw.
THE ECU is always on, normally have a drain of 50mA. You have other problems... Possibly the RADIO or the ALTERNATOR. These 2 items normally are the cause of many issues
