Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

Bmw p0727 01 525i transmission light came on this morning on my way to work. tranny went into limp mode shut off to see if it would reset. Car was very hard to start back up. did not clear transmission light. CEL came on. I read code and only code is P0727. If crank position sensor is bad, won't car just not run?
