Having problems with your Cars & Trucks ?

Chevy blazer turn signal

\015 I have a 1974 k5 blazer. I replaced the turn signal switch with a brand new GM switch. The problem I have is when I turn the right side on it goes to hazards. When I go to left. It does nothing at all. I used the pigtail adapter that was sold with switch at the same dealer that converts to the old harness. I have taken it apart and cleaned connectors and am thinking it must be a ground issue? Please help.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 21-05-2018

Answers :

Well I doubt it is a ground problem since the lights are grounded at the sockets. It sounds like a switch problem but you say it is a new GM switch.
I am posting the original wiring diagram in case its a wiring problem. You should have power in and out for each light without the hazard switch being involved. The two switches should work independent of each other.
