\015 Hey guys, I did an oil change today , everything went well. but for some reason , my oil started leaking from my oil pan? I'm not sure if i stripped my bolt , i might've , if i did what do i do? but if i didn't , how am i suppose to check and know what went wrong? \015\012Secondly i brought a new starter, but when i start my car it took a bit to jump, i was wondering can that be my battery? i heard that if i clean the soilnaid or something it might help my starter , but i clearly doubt that works. can anyone help me?\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 29-11-2021

Answers :

When you remove the sump plug to drain the oil you should always use a new copper washer gasket to seal it properly. If you have stripped the thread then there over size sump plugs available and a thread tap to suit the new size so no big deal really
Remove battery terminals and clean both posts and terminals
with sandpaper until you see shiny metal. The black coating is lead sulphate which has a high resistance to current flow both into and out of the battery. Have a load test done on the battery to check for failing cells.
