Having problems with your Acura CL ?

I want to be able to turn the light off on "service needed" for my Acura 2002 CL

  1. Turn the key to the II position (but not to III, or START)
  2. \015\012
  3. Turn the key to the 0 (OFF) position, then push -- and hold -- the odometer reset button
  4. \015\012
  5. Turn the key back to the II position, while still holding the button
  6. \015\012
  7. After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off
  8. \015\012
  9. Release button and turn key to 0.

\015\012If your Acura has two buttons on the odometer do this:\015\012\015\012

  1. Keys out of the ignition
  2. \015\012
  3. Push and hold down the odometer Select and Reset buttons
  4. \015\012
  5. While holding them down, put your keys in and turn the key to II but not to III (START)
  6. \015\012
  7. The light blinks once. Wait about another 5-15 seconds and the light will then turn off

  9. Release the two buttons
  10. \015\012
  11. Turn ignition back to 0 (OFF)
  12. \015\012
  13. Start car as normal.

Hi,
This is a warning light telling you your vehicle is in need of service. I recommend at least taking it to your nearest autozone where they will tell you what codes are being thrown out at no charge.
