Having problems with your Acura TL ?

Hello I have a 2002 Acura TL 3.2 Type-S That has a strange low frequency humming noise when it's running. When you first start it up it comes on and goes away for maybe a second or two then comes back on and stays on for good. The sound is constant and is very low frequency. It almost sounds like the sound is coming from 15-20 foot away. I have taken off the air box completely and the sound is coming right out of the throttle. I'm at a loss as to what could be making this noise

Answers :

THIS NOISE IS CAUSED BY THE AUTOMATCI IDLE SPEED CONTROL AIR BYPASS VALVE, REPLACE IT OR TRY CLEANING IT BY THE PROCEDURE BELOW, SOMETIMES THAT WORKS, THE NEW PART IS VERY EXPENSIVE.

\015\012 I want you to get a can of intake cleaner (ABOUT $5.00) from any local auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest, do not use carburetor spray, use spray intake cleaner only or u will damage the Teflon coating inside the throttle valve and air bypass valve, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall (help from a friend is useful here), then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

First of all check this two things wheel bearings and drive shaft, also check if the noise is coming from any of the tires in some cases it has been seen that the screws holding the tyre gets bit loose and this noise comes while running due to loose moving screws.
\015\012When the noise is happening if you turn the steering left to right slightly does it make any differents.?
\015\012Try pressing the clutch when the noise is present,to see if its a drive train fault.
\015\012other possibilities to check if the above mentioned options checked out ok.then check Fuel Pump, or possibly Cooling Fan.
\015\012This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
