Having problems with your Audi 90 ?

My 1990 audi 90 dies out alot even while im driving. Also the idle is somewhat erratic and sometimes the car sort of jerks back and forth as i drive. I had it scanned and the error code was PO335 crankshaft position sensor. If i get it replaced will this solve my problem?

The article in Wikipedia reads thus - "A bad crank position sensor can worsen the way the engine idles,\015\012 the pistons fire, or the acceleration behaviour. If the engine is \015\012revved up with a bad or faulty sensor, it may cause misfiring, motor \015\012vibration or backfires. Accelerating might be hesitant, and abnormal \015\012shaking during engine idle might occur. In the worst case the car may \015\012not start."

From your problem,it is evident that your Crankshaft Position Sensor is malfunctioning and it is better you can go for new Crankshaft Position Sensor.

Test it with a multimeter first but yes it could cure it ,i mean its 20 yrs old and in the running for a collectable classic vehicle
