Torgue converter circuit stuck open

\015 I own a 2000 chevy malibu ls, check engine light came on and i brought it to be tested and was told the problem was that the torgue converter circuit was stuck open.. I have trouble with the car sputtering at certain speeds, and very poor gas milage. I have to know wat i can do about this..what exactly it is and how i go about getting it fixed... thank you.\015 Posted / edited by AnonymousUser on : 09-12-2019

Answers :

Youll have to take it to a transmission shop to change the torque converter lockup switch because you'll have to remove the valve body on the transmission to get to it
