Having problems with your Buick LeSabre ?

Within the last 2 weeks I have had new CV axles installed and yesterday a lower control arm assembly was installed. Now, after driving around 100 miles since the repairs, the check charge system light came on, there was a smell of rubber burning, and then the volt light came on. I could hardly steer turning corners but managed the last 2 miles to get home. When I cut the engine off, there were clunky noises under the hood. There was no indication of a problem while driving on the interstate

Answers :

SOUNDS LIKE THE BELT BROKE. POP THE HOOD AND SEE IF THE BELT IS STILL ON THE PULLYS. PROBABLY NOT RELATED TO OTHER REPAIRS. IF IT JUST NEEDS A BELT YOUR LOOKING AT ABOUT$100-150.

Sounds like a belt broke and/or a lock up to one of the pulleys and then the belt broke.

Please check belts and make sure alternator , a.c and power steering pulley's move freely.
