Having problems with your Buick Riviera ?

When I start or shut off my 1997 Riviera the radio antenna sounds like it should go up and go down but it doesn't. The antenna motor shuts off as if it is working...what part should I replace

Answers :

There is a geared strap inside of a antenna that makes the unit rise and drop,, they strip out,, some can be changed as in Toyota's I'm not positive that Buick has that switch out, you'd have to pull the unit to be sure , you could also check the local junk yards to get a complete replacement for pretty cheap, just be sure and find a 12 volt power source to check it before you purchase it, they have batteries there I'm sure !! \012Good Luck
