Having problems with your Buick Roadmaster ?

My 1994 BUICK ROADMASTER shutters or hitches between 50 and 65 when it shifts into 4th gear. (overdrive) i replaced the transmission filter and prior to that i ran some sea foam thru it to clean it a bit. it seems to improved slightly but its still there. i can make it drive smoothly by letting my foot off the gas slightly and giving it more every few seconds between these speeds. i dont know if it downshifts when i do this or what but its really irritating. any help is appreciated. oh ueah it h

Get your ICM and coils tested first. This is a common problem that seems like a transmission issue.

Next, when was the last time your spark plugs and wires were changed? This may cause one cylinder to misfire intermittently.

If this was a vacuum modulated transmission, I would normally suggest checking the lines but the 460e is computer controlled.

Check your 'kickdown' cable from the throttle to the transmission.

If none of these easy fixes work, there is not a lot more you can do other than repair or replace the malfunctioning transmission.

Good luck!
