Having problems with your 1985 Toyota Celica ?

My 93 celica gt 2.2 has what feels like a momentary fuel cut when i accelerate from a stop or slow speed. the engine will continue to surge-stop in second or less intervals until I ease off the throttle. I have done th e normal plugs wires rotor and fuel and air filters. Anyone have any idea?

You guys are having an ignition misfire. Start by replacing the plugs, (ONLY use NGK plugs on a Japanese vehicle. There's a reason Bosch plugs are so cheap)  and gap them correctly. If you have a cap and rotor in your distributor, replace them, too. If that doesn't do it, check the plug wires for cracks, scoring, or arcing (will look like chalk dust).\015\012
\015\012After all that, check the wiring from the coil and the coil itself. It could be something as simple as a corroded contact that needs to be cleaned.\015\012
